Thinking about your own bedding is not something that you would choose without considering its levels of comfort and associated health benefits, so picking your horses bedding shouldn't be any different.

Our range of shavings that we have to offer is a premium animal bedding that is produced exclusively from virgin, coniferous softwood, which means it already has the natural antibacterial properties built into it. Unlike many other competitors, we also go to great lengths to remove as much unwanted dust as possible.
Cotswold Flake
Cotswold flake is the larger of the two shavings that we have to offer. All have been tested with the Irish equine centre.
- Over 95% of particles fall within a 2-40mm size range.
- Moisture content in the region of 10-25% (dry weight basis)
- Outturn volume - 466 litres per bale (average)

Small Flake
Small flake is the small of the two shavings that we have to offer. All have been tested with the Irish equine centre.

Chopped Wheat or Rape straw
The chopped straw is a very popular alternative to shavings. It is processed wheat straw that is dust extracted as well as the option of being treated with eucalyptus.Â
Very Easy to muck out and very little waste.
This products breaks down quickly and creates a good nutrient for the soil.
Green Sawdust
The Green Sawdust is supplied on walking floors and mainly used in the dairy industry but has been used in equine industry.
Over 95% of particles pass through a 5mm mesh sieve while negligible quantities are retained on an 8mm mesh sieve
Moisture content is in the region of 45-65%, but this is subject to seasonal variations.
The volume/weight ratio (bulk density) is normally in the range of 250-350kg/m3
All practical measures are taken to remove any foreign matter.
Delivery
We can deliver using the different size vehicles that we have. We also carry a truck mounted forklift that can access hard to reach areas.
